The 42-year-old William was seen conversing with his son alongside UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and Felipe VI, the King of Spain. At one point, William bent down to George’s level to discuss a moment of the game, which England lost 2-1.
Despite England’s defeat, William and George maintained neutral expressions and graciously accepted their team’s loss. While the pair enjoyed the Euro Final, William’s wife, Kate, attended the Wimbledon final with their daughter Charlotte. This marked a significant moment, as Kate had not been seen in public since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March this year.
Kate, the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, watched the final as Carlos Alcaraz of Spain defeated Serbia’s Novak Djokovic. Joining the two royal ladies was Kate’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton. To commemorate her return to royal duties, Kate posted on social media: “Great to be back at @Wimbledon! There’s nothing quite like The Championships 🎾.”
Middleton also attended the championship last year with William and their two older children. However, people quickly noticed that for Kate’s first public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis, she was without her husband. One X user speculated whether the couple might be leading separate lives, as they had not been seen together for a while.
