Kate announces she has completed her chemotherapy treatment.

The Princess of Wales has expressed her relief at completing her chemotherapy in a deeply personal video released by Kensington Palace. In March, Catherine revealed she was undergoing cancer treatment, remaining largely out of the public eye for much of the year.

She is expected to gradually return to royal duties, with a few engagements planned, including potential appearances at Remembrance events in November and her annual Christmas carol concert.

In the emotional video, Catherine reflected on the challenges of the past year, describing it as “incredibly tough” and noting that “life as you know it can change in an instant.”

This latest update on Catherine’s health offers a positive outlook on her progress, though there remains a long journey ahead. Kensington Palace has stated that it’s too early to confirm if she is cancer-free.

In a candid and deeply personal video filmed last month in Norfolk, the princess describes her battle with cancer as navigating “stormy waters” that were “complex, scary, and unpredictable.”

“With humility, it brings you face to face with your vulnerabilities in a way you’ve never experienced, offering a new perspective on everything,” Catherine shares in the video.

Set against a backdrop of autumnal colors, the video conveys her sense of relief at completing this phase of her treatment. “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot express how relieved I am to have finally finished my chemotherapy,” she says, while shown driving and spending time with her family.

The Princess of Wales is expected to make a “handful” of public appearances later this year, possibly including the annual Remembrance service at the Cenotaph. However, palace sources stress that there is still a significant road to full recovery, and the princess will prioritize her health for the coming months.

“My path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” Catherine says. Despite the challenges, she reflects that the experience has given her a “renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life.”

Catherine has spent much of this year recovering, stepping away from public duties during what has been a difficult period. Her health struggles began in January, when she underwent abdominal surgery. In March, she revealed her cancer diagnosis in a video message, explaining that she was undergoing treatment and requesting privacy during her recovery.

Catherine called her cancer diagnosis a “huge shock” after what had been an “incredibly tough few months.” She made her first public appearance of the year in June at Trooping the Colour, waving from the Buckingham Palace balcony.

Before that, she shared a personal update, saying she was cautiously optimistic about returning but admitted she was “not out of the woods yet” and still had “good days and bad days” with her treatment.

Her latest appearance was in July, where she received a standing ovation at Wimbledon during the men’s singles final.

As Catherine, Princess of Wales, continues her journey towards full recovery, we extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued strength and healing. Her resilience and courage in sharing her story inspire many, and we hope that her path forward is filled with health and happiness. We look forward to seeing her return to her royal duties with renewed energy and positivity.
