Hollywood Star Says She “Can’t Live” in the U.S. if Trump Wins Presidency

As the 2024 election approaches, it’s becoming evident that former President Donald Trump has secured his place as the Republican frontrunner. Despite ongoing opposition from the left, Trump’s popularity, particularly among minority voters, continues to rise—a troubling sign for Democrats. While Joe Biden is the incumbent, his campaign faces stiff competition from third-party candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. There are also persistent rumors that Biden might be replaced on the Democratic ticket due to concerns about his age and cognitive abilities. However, the Democrats seem to lack a strong lineup of potential alternatives, putting them in a difficult spot.

Names like California Governor Gavin Newsom and Vice President Kamala Harris have been floated as possible contenders, but both are widely seen as ineffective leaders. Unless a high-profile figure like Michelle Obama enters the race, the Democratic party appears to be short on strong candidates. This sets the stage for a possible rematch between Biden and Trump in 2024, with some Hollywood celebrities already vowing to leave the country if Trump wins re-election.

It’s worth recalling that in 2016, many Hollywood liberals made similar promises to leave the country if Donald Trump won the presidency. Unsurprisingly, none of them followed through. Now, as the 2024 election approaches, some familiar faces are once again making these empty threats.

Recently, legendary actress Barbra Streisand repeated her claim that she would leave the U.S. if Trump is reelected. While promoting her new autobiography, Streisand remarked, “I will move. I can’t live in this country if he becomes president.”

It’s puzzling why the “Yentl” star would consider abandoning America, especially when a Trump presidency could bring stronger border security, lower crime, reduced energy prices, and less inflation—improvements that would benefit everyday Americans, though perhaps less relevant to wealthy Hollywood elites.

When asked where she might relocate, Streisand mentioned England as a potential option. Many Americans might respond with a lighthearted, “Good luck, England,” at the idea of welcoming Barbra Streisand. But as before, it’s doubtful that she or other celebrities will actually make good on these hollow promises. In yet another display of Trump derangement syndrome, Streisand praised Joe Biden, calling him compassionate, intelligent, and a champion of the “right things.” However, this viewpoint appears to clash with public opinion and the current state of the economy, which is experiencing its worst downturn in 40 years. Streisand’s views seem out of step with the reality many Americans are facing. In her book, she even goes as far as to deem Trump “completely unfit” for the presidency, while showering praise on Bill and Hillary Clinton, referring to them as “the most appealing couple.” This highlights how out of touch Hollywood elites like Streisand seem to be with the everyday struggles of average Americans.

As the 2024 election nears, one can only hope that these left-leaning celebrities, who teased us with promises to leave the country back in 2016, might actually follow through this time and become someone else’s concern in 2024.

In conclusion, the possibility of a Trump victory in 2024 has once again led Hollywood’s elite to threaten to leave the country. Yet, history suggests these threats are all talk, raising the question of whether they’ll ever actually follow through on their promises to leave the nation they claim to disdain.
