1. THE GIRLS DIDN’T GET ALONG PREVIOUSLY.
Nevertheless, the father emphasized that having a previous conflict with someone doesn’t justify his daughter’s actions. The ongoing dispute seemed to stem from the fact that the daughter is dating the other girl’s ex-boyfriend, leading to tension between them. Expressing his disappointment, the father mentioned, “This is not how I’ve raised my daughter to treat people, and it truly disgusted me to hear about her behavior from her deputy principal.”
2. THE GIRL DIDN’T SEEM TO THINK WHAT SHE’D DONE WAS WRONG.
She not only stuck to her actions but also claimed the other girl deserved it. At that point, her dad had had enough.
3. HE GAVE HIS DAUGHTER TWO OPTIONS.
The man wasn’t willing to let the situation slide, so he presented the teen with two choices. Option one: she could dispose of every electronic device she owned—phone, computer, etc.—and he wouldn’t buy her any more. Option two: she could visit a hairdresser and have her entire head shaved. Moreover, she wouldn’t be allowed to wear a wig; she had to go to school like that until her hair grew back. Ultimately, she opted for the second choice.
4. THE TEEN’S MOTHER THINKS THE DAD WENT “WAY OVERBOARD.”
In his post, he mentioned, “Her mother went into a rage, arguing that it will subject her to bullying (which is somewhat the intention—to instill compassion).” It’s worth noting that the dad has full custody of his daughter, as his ex-wife has “moved on with her new family,” which is why he didn’t seek her opinion.
5. REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS, THE DAD HAS NO REGRETS.
“I gave my daughter this punishment because she lacked empathy for the girl she bullied. It really bothered me that she didn’t understand the impact of her actions. I hoped that making her go to school without hair would teach her a lesson.”
